From February 26th to February 29th, 2024, the bustling city of Berlin played host to an event that brought together innovators, developers, and tech enthusiasts from around Europe. Partnering with Bosch, we had the privilege to co-organize the Bosch ConnectedExperience (BCX 24), an extraordinary in-house hackathon nested within the Bosch ConnectedWorld 2024.

What is the Bosch ConnectedExperience (BCX)?

BCX is not just another hackathon. It’s a convergence of minds, skills, and aspirations towards shaping the future of AI and IoT. With a focus on digital transformation, BCX provides a platform where participants dive into domain-specific challenges, leveraging Bosch’s extensive software and hardware ecosystem. This year’s event, spanning from February 26th to 28th, witnessed the participation of a diverse array of talents including backend and frontend developers, product owners, managers, UX experts, and innovators from various sectors.

Collaborative atmosphere

Participants benefitted from the guidance of hacking coaches and engaged in fruitful exchanges with organizations like GenAI and VR. Partner companies such as Google Cloud, AWS, and IBM generously shared their expertise and technologies, enriching the hacking experience.

Beyond hacking

While hacking took center stage, BCX 2024 offered a comprehensive experience beyond the coding frenzy. Two days of fair showcased the latest technologies, accompanied by insightful keynotes from industry experts on topics ranging from sustainability to economic growth.

Another highlight was the BCW networking party, featuring a performance by the iconic Fantastischen Vier – a perfect opportunity for participants to unwind and network.

The Bosch ConnectedWorld 2024 once again brought together intellectual minds, experts, creatives and foremost new insights and chances for a brighter future.

Future prospects

In each hack track, a winning team emerged, showcasing the power of collaboration and innovation in front of branch experts. Our CEO Christian Schweizer had the pleasure of moderating the pitches and guided the audience to interactively decide on the winning team.

However, beyond the winners, BCX 2024 laid the groundwork for future collaborations, ideas, and technological advancements that will shape industries for years to come.
