OUR STORY

Birth of prototype.club

The vision to implement innovations more efficiently, quickly, and agilely arose while working at a corporate firm. From this need, Christian Schweizer started with the idea of making open innovation more tangible. This experience paved the way for the launch of prototype.club in February 2022.

It all started with the organization of innovation competitions, which are extremely efficient and provide world-class solutions to specific challenges. These competitions took place at renowned trade fairs such as IAA Mobility, E-World, IAA Transportation, HANNOVER MESSE, and Agritechnica. The aim was to revolutionize the innovation process and give stakeholders from various industries the opportunity to test, develop, and implement their ideas.

Evolution into an open innovation partner

Companies quickly recognised the effectiveness and flexibility of working with us. The seamless connection between start-ups and established companies enabled the rapid implementation of innovative ideas. We continued to grow and today consists of a team of seven dedicated employees.

What started as pure innovation competitions quickly developed into a partnership for open innovation. Companies such as Siemens Energy, EnBW and Bosch joined with enthusiasm and were impressed by the rapid and high-quality results.

Today, we have a broad network and work closely with associations and ministries that support the project. We are more than just an organiser of competitions – we are an important partner for open innovation in various ecosystems.

OUR STORY

Birth of prototype.club

It all started with the idea and organisation of various hackathons to promote innovation and collaboration. As a result, Christian Schweizer led the event on the topic of energy at enerthon.com. This experience paved the way for the launch of prototype.club in February 2022.

Initially, the prototype.club team consisted of three employees. Our core competence lay in the organisation and implementation of various innovation competitions, which took place at renowned trade fairs such as E-World, IAA Mobility and IAA Transportation, HANNOVER MESSE and Agritechnica.
